Copper wire thefts or attempts at theft have been on the rise in Canada, in some cases, cutting off access to internet, phone and other services.

Calgary police are searching for three suspects who stole $50,000 worth of copper wire from a Foothills Industrial area business on March 17. The suspects broke into the business with a dark-colored Dodge Ram 3500 dually and a stolen white enclosed trailer, damaging a fence in the process. Police are requesting public assistance in identifying the suspects and providing dashcam footage.
