Popular bank with two million customers is making major change to savings today

The interest rate on its Chase Saver account currently used to track at 1.25% below the Bank of England base rate - but as of February 19, the Chase Saver now tracks 1.5% below



Chase, a popular bank with two million customers, is cutting the interest rate on its Chase Saver account. The rate, which previously tracked 1.25% below the Bank of England base rate, now tracks 1.5% below. The change, effective from February 19, reduces the rate from 3.5% to 3.25%. While this may disappoint existing customers, new customers can still access a higher rate. Other savings accounts, such as Monument Bank's 4.75% rate, offer higher returns but may have additional conditions.
