Powerful U.S. storms are causing a variety of weather threats, including fire, dust storms, tornadoes, and blizzards, impacting areas from the Southern High Plains to the Midwest. The storms have already caused damage in Oklahoma, power outages in Texas and Oklahoma, and near-zero visibility in parts of New Mexico and West Texas. The National Weather Service warns of potentially life-threatening conditions and treacherous travel due to blizzard conditions in the Central Plains and Midwest.
