Hundreds of people congregated at the church in the centre of the Gaeltacht village to say a sombre farewell to a much-loved young person.
Following the funeral mass for 17-year-old Shaun Martin McClafferty, a victim of a car crash in Co Donegal, a priest warned young people that cars can be "very potent weapons." McClafferty and his friend Jamie Diver were killed when their car crashed into a house. The community mourned the loss, with hundreds attending both funerals. The priest urged responsible driving and awareness of the dangers of cars.
