The cuts impact various departments, including family wellbeing, adoption, and family finding, leading to concerns about increased caseloads, worker burnout, and inadequate child safety nets. The agency uses unlicensed facilities due to a lack of funding. CUPE 2286 is calling for the layoffs to be reversed and for increased provincial funding.
