PSNI investigates after email causes six schools to close in Northern Ireland

Threatening email sent to schools in Fermanagh, Tyrone and Antrim



A threatening email caused six schools in Strabane (Co Tyrone) and Ballycastle (Co Antrim) to close in Northern Ireland on Monday, while three schools in Enniskillen remained open. The PSNI investigated the incident, involving a total of nine schools, and determined the email to be a hoax. The PSNI and the Met police are working together to investigate similar concerns in England.
