Dattatraya Ramdas Gade, the Pune rape accused who is on the run, posed as a policeman for several months, sources have told NDTV.
Dattatraya Ramdas Gade, a 37-year-old man from Gunat village in Pune, is accused of raping a 26-year-old woman at the Swargate bus station. He is also linked to several theft and robbery cases in Pune and Ahilyanagar. Gade posed as a policeman at the bus station, using this disguise to approach the victim and gain her trust before committing the crime. Pune Police have offered a reward for information leading to his capture. After a 75-hour manhunt involving drones and dogs, Gade was arrested. He is known to have operated a cab between Pune and Ahilyanagar, targeting elderly women in robberies.
