Remains of missing B.C. teen finally identified after 18 years

The remains were found in Washington state in 2008 but it wasn't until this year that extensive DNA testing was able to match the remains to a distant relative of Jeffrey Surtel, a 17-year-old who went missing from Mission in 2007.
