The House of Representatives passed bills proposing simultaneous presidential, gubernatorial, National and state Houses of Assembly, and local government elections, with the Court of Appeal as the final arbiter for governorship, National and State Assemblies election disputes. A bill was also passed to establish a National Local Government Electoral Commission. Additionally, the House passed a bill requiring treaties to be presented to the National Assembly within 180 days for ratification, and bills creating state/local police, special legislative seats for Persons With Disability and Special Interest Groups all passed second reading.
