Robots which wash the dishes, vacuum the carpets, cook and even pick up dirty laundry could be available to purchase within a decade, according to experts.
AI-powered cleaning robots capable of performing basic household chores like vacuuming, washing dishes, and picking up laundry could be available within a decade. These machines, equipped with advanced AI, would be able to adapt to different home layouts. Priced between £16,000 and £40,000, they would cost roughly the same as a family car. According to MIT's Pulkit Agrawal, these robots would initially perform limited tasks but could gain more capabilities through software updates akin to an app store. The goal is to eventually develop a single robot capable of handling multiple household duties.
