EXCLUSIVE: Author Sophie Lark apologized for ‘hurtful’ lines in forthcoming book

Romance novelist Sophie Lark's upcoming book, *Sparrow and Vine*, and its series were pulled by Bloom Books following social media backlash over controversial lines praising Elon Musk and perpetuating racist stereotypes. The lines, which were part of an arranged marriage story, were criticized for being hurtful and out of step with current social issues. Lark apologized, acknowledging her mistake and pausing the book for revisions.
