România își reafirmă sprijinul pentru aderarea Republicii Moldova la UE
Romania has reaffirmed its strong support for the Republic of Moldova's accession to the European Union (EU). Mircea Abrudean, the interim President of the Romanian Senate, emphasized this commitment during a meeting with Moldova's ambassador in Bucharest. Romania will continue to support Moldova's integration into the EU through both EU-level efforts and direct bilateral cooperation. Key areas of support include accelerating Moldova's reform process, particularly in institutional and judicial sectors. Romania also praised Moldova's pro-European referendum, the re-election of President Maia Sandu, and effective management of the energy crisis. The country remains open to providing technical assistance for judicial reforms and strengthening the rule of law, as outlined in a joint action plan. Romania's consistent support is seen as crucial for Moldova's goal of becoming an EU member by 2030.
