Ronan Keating calls for appeal of 'lenient' sentence for man who caused death of his brother in car crash as he slams 'reckless' driver's 'selfish actions'

Ronan Keating has called for an appeal of the 'lenient' sentence given to Dean Harte, the driver responsible for the death of his brother, Ciaran, in a July 2023 car crash. Ciaran died while traveling with his wife to watch their son play football. Harte, 22, received a 17-month suspended sentence and a two-year driving ban. Keating expressed the family's surprise and disappointment with the sentence, urging the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to appeal and fight for justice for Ciaran and others affected by reckless driving. He emphasized that the only way to deter reckless driving is through enforced consequences.
