The White House announced both Kyiv and Moscow had agreed to “ensure safe navigation” and “eliminate the use of force” in the Black Sea.

The White House announced that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a ceasefire in the Black Sea to ensure safe navigation and eliminate the use of force. The US signaled intentions to ease sanctions on Russian fertilizer and agricultural goods and improve Moscow's access to maritime insurance, ports, and payment systems. The agreement, reached after talks in Riyadh, also includes measures to ban attacks on energy facilities, US assistance for prisoner exchanges and the return of displaced children. The UK has not yet commented on any easing of sanctions.
