Sarah Beeny becomes cancer charity patron after death of mother and stepmother

The TV presenter is to introduce a new film detailing Brain Tumour Research’s breakthroughs.

Sarah Beeny, who has herself been diagnosed with breast cancer, became a patron of Brain Tumour Research after losing her mother, stepmother, and a friend to brain tumors. She aims to raise awareness and improve research funding for brain tumors, which receive significantly less funding than breast cancer despite being a leading cause of cancer death in young people. She will introduce a film at a charity gala featuring Alfie Boe, who also lost his father to a brain tumour, and Brain Tumour Research will release a report highlighting research breakthroughs.
