Scots tourist fights for life after guest house is destroyed by explosion

A Scottish holidaymaker was left with horrific burns after a violent gas explosion demolished a three-storey guest house in the Italian capital of Rome yesterday.



A Scottish tourist, Grant Paterson, is critically ill in a Rome hospital after a gas explosion destroyed a guest house where he was staying. The explosion, suspected to be caused by a gas leak, collapsed floors and damaged a nearby building. Authorities are investigating.
