Senator Natasha Risks Sanctions, Referred To Senate Ethics C’ttee Over Face

The Senate has referred Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to the Ethics Committee following a dispute with Senate President Godswill Akpabio over seat allocation during a plenary session. The committee, led by Senator Neda Imaseun, has two weeks to investigate her conduct. Senator Yemi Adaramodu criticized her actions as "extreme intransigence," while Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele emphasized the need for order. Akpabio highlighted decorum rules, noting that senators can sit anywhere but must contribute from designated seats. The Ethics Committee's findings will determine potential sanctions, including suspension for at least 14 days.
