Cookes secured €36,250 in Arts Council grants between 2021 and 2022
Serial fraudster Samantha Cookes, also known as Jade Cooke, Jade O'Sullivan, and Carrie Jade Williams, received €36,250 in Arts Council grants between 2021 and 2022. The Arts Council stated that funding decisions were based on "artistic merit" and didn't consider criminal convictions. The application required a declaration of assurance signed by the applicant and another responsible person. The Arts Council has not changed its grant process since the funding was granted.
