Educational qualifications were at least four years of college or two years plus business experience. Temperament requirements included a lively conversation, an even temper, and willingness to please. These qualifications, recently resurfaced, have sparked horror on social media, contrasting with today's less restrictive standards, such as British Airways' 2022 uniform rule changes allowing more personal choice.
