Due to tariffs imposed by the U.S. and retaliatory tariffs by Canada, shoppers can expect some food prices in Canada to rise, but not immediately or on all products. Grocers are receiving price increase notices, and while some are attempting to mitigate the impact by switching suppliers, prices on certain U.S. imports and products using U.S. ingredients will likely increase, especially if the Canadian dollar weakens.
