Sir Paul McCartney has announced the publication of a new book, *Wings: The Story Of A Band On The Run*, which details the history of his band Wings from its formation in 1971 to its dissolution in 1981. The book, edited by Edward "Ted" Widmer and based on extensive interviews with McCartney, will be published by Penguin Random House on November 4, priced at £35. Wings, co-founded with McCartney's late wife Linda, drummer Denny Seiwell, and Denny Laine, achieved success with hits like *Mull of Kintyre* and *Band on the Run*. McCartney expressed his joy in revisiting the band's adventures. The book coincides with McCartney's recent performances, including a 2024 O2 Arena concert featuring Wings and Beatles songs, where he was joined by Sir Ringo Starr.
