SNP ministers should join with us to solve generational work problem – Murray

Scottish Secretary Ian Murray has called on the Scottish Government to collaborate with Labour to address the "generational problem" of workforce exclusion. He defended UK Government welfare reforms aimed at saving £5 billion by 2029-30, which the SNP government fears will negatively impact disabled people and the Scottish budget, particularly concerning the interaction between the UK's PIP and Scotland's ADP. Murray argues the current system is "unsustainable" and "immoral," while Scotland’s Social Justice Secretary Shirley-Anne Somerville predicts the reforms will have a "devastating effect on disabled people".
