SpaceX's Starship rocket exploded mid-flight during its eighth test, disrupting Florida air traffic. The 400-foot rocket lifted off from Texas but lost power in several engines after separating from the Super Heavy booster. Although the upper stage failed, the Super Heavy booster was caught using the chopstick mechanism. The test aimed to deploy dummy Starlink satellites and achieve other milestones, but SpaceX plans to review the data to improve Starship's reliability, continuing its rapid testing schedule to develop a reusable vehicle for missions, including Mars colonization.
