Twelve men linked to Ireland’s biggest drugs gang now held by gardaí and Spanish police
A joint Irish-Spanish police operation, supported by Europol, dismantled a major drug distribution hub in Spain belonging to the Irish "Family" gang, leading to arrests in both countries and the seizure of €30 million worth of drugs. The gang, described as a "high-risk criminal network," used encrypted communication to traffic drugs from Spain to Ireland, hiding them in vehicles. The investigation was aided by the infiltration of the Ghost encrypted platform.
