Srebrny puchar trafił do Skarbca Koronnego na Wawelu. To dar

Krystyna Piórkowska przekazała do Zamku Królewskiego na Wawelu w Krakowie ponad półmetrowy srebrny puchar, który wylicytowała na aukcji w paryskim domu Christie’s.

A silver and gilded baroque cup, 53 cm tall, created by the workshop of Peter II Rode, a renowned 17th-century Gdańsk goldsmith, has been donated to the Wawel Royal Treasury. The cup, one of eight known examples from Rode's workshop, was acquired at a Christie's auction in Paris by Krystyna Piórkowska, a prominent donor to Polish cultural institutions. The piece, which previously belonged to collections in Darmstadt in the early 20th century, will be housed in the Wawel Royal Treasury, enriching its collection of baroque artifacts, including other works by Rode.
