Stella Artois brewer AB InBev cheers record sales in spite of China hit

The world’s biggest brewer said revenues rose 0.7% to an all-time high of 59.77 billion US dollars (£47.27 billion) in 2024.

AB InBev, the world’s largest brewer, reported record annual revenues of $59.77 billion in 2024, despite a significant decline in China. The company attributed its success to strong sales of premium brands like Corona and Michelob Ultra. Underlying operating profits rose 8.2% to $20.96 billion. While China saw a 19% volume drop in the final quarter and an 11.9% revenue decline for the year, AB InBev expressed confidence in its future performance. Experts noted the resilience of the company but flagged concerns over China’s ongoing market slowdown.
