Stirling school 'goes orange' to pay tribute to pupil battling rare condition

The 11-year-old's strength and bravery in living with the impact of the serious muscle-wasting condition was hailed by her fellow pupils and a charity.



St Margaret's Primary School in Cowie "went orange" to honor 11-year-old pupil Somhairle McMenemy, who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, before he moves on to secondary school. The school held a special assembly to recognize Somhairle's bravery and raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy UK. His parents and the charity representatives were in attendance.
