Stuart Pearce's heart was "restarted" by medical staff after a health scare on a flight from Las Vegas, leading to an emergency landing in Newfoundland. Pearce, who was returning from a rugby league match, experienced chest pains and his heart was racing. Hospital staff stopped and restarted his heart to restore its normal rhythm. He spent five days in the hospital and another five in a hotel, and has since recovered, returning to commentary duties. A virus is suspected as the cause of the issue.
