The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian government have reached a historic agreement for the SDF to fully integrate into state institutions. The agreement, signed by SDF commander Mazloum Abdi and interim government president Ahmed al-Sharaa, includes political participation for all Syrians regardless of ethnicity or religion, recognition of the Kurdish community with full citizenship rights, and state control over key facilities in northeastern Syria.
