Tapbots, the developer behind the Mastodon client Ivory, is developing a new app called Phoenix for Bluesky, a social network with over 32 million users. Development of Ivory will slow temporarily to focus on Phoenix, but both apps will eventually be developed concurrently. Phoenix is expected to enter a limited public alpha phase before its summer 2025 launch, with plans for a subscription-based monetization model similar to Ivory's.
