Family says actor who worked with William Wyler, Pier Paolo Pasolini and Steven Soderbergh, ‘leaves behind an extraordinary body of work’Terence Stamp, one of the stellar faces of British 60s cinema, who had a second act from the late 1970s onwards as a character actor in the likes of Superman: The Movie, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and The Limey, has died aged 87.His family said in a statement that Stamp had died on Sunday morning. “He leaves behind an extraordinary body of work, both as an actor and as a writer that will continue to touch and inspire people for years to come,” the family said. “We ask for privacy at this sad time.” Continue reading...
