Terra CO2 Announces US$82M in New Series B Funding to Accelerate Commercial Deployment of Sustainable Cement Technology
Terra CO2, a US-based low-carbon building materials company, has secured $82 million in Series B funding to accelerate the commercial deployment of its sustainable cement technology, OPUS. The investment, co-led by Just Climate, Eagle Materials, and GenZero, with participation from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, will support the expansion of full-scale production facilities across North America and Europe. Terra's technology aims to reduce carbon emissions in the cement industry, which accounts for 8% of global CO2 emissions, by leveraging existing infrastructure and abundant raw materials.
