The airline is hitting back at European governments for high aviation fees by reducing its flight roster
Ryanair is cutting flight routes across Europe in 2025 in response to high aviation fees imposed by governments. The airline has reduced flights in Denmark due to a new passenger tax, in Italy due to increased airport costs and surcharges, in Germany due to higher fees, and in Spain due to rising airport charges. Ryanair's CEO, Michael O’Leary, has threatened to reduce flights to France if taxes increase and has called on governments to cut aviation taxes and air traffic control fees.
