But comments made by Brian Rolapp, the Tour’s newly appointed chief executive, showed that unification between the sport’s traditional ecosystem and the Saudi Arabian‑backed LIV circuit is as distant as ever.Woods, who has not competed since the 2024 Open Championship because of injury, was the headline name when Rolapp addressed the media in Atlanta on the eve of the Tour Championship.
