A new book details how seemingly ordinary suburban dads in Philadelphia ran an international gun smuggling ring in the 1970s, supplying arms, including American-made ArmaLites, to the IRA during the Troubles in Northern Ireland. The operation involved a network of Irish immigrants and Irish Americans, using various methods to transport guns, including hiding them in luggage on the Queen Elizabeth II and through amenable pilots.
