Ogun State Minority Leader Lukman Adeleye has sponsored a motion to exempt teachers, healthcare professionals, first responders, emergency service personnel, and essential workers from paying toll fees on the Ijebu-Ode/Mojoda/Epe road during official working hours. The proposal aims to provide financial relief to critical workers in rural areas, recognizing their roles in maintaining public health, safety, and welfare. The exemption period for teachers is set from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday, while health workers would be exempted from Sunday to Saturday. Adeleye emphasized the importance of easing the financial burden on these workers to encourage efficient service delivery, particularly in rural communities.
