Toronto plane crash: Delta flight had ‘high rate of descent,’ preliminary report finds

Canada's safety board has released a more detailed report into the Delta plane crash in Toronto last month, but stopped short of drawing any conclusions into what caused the crash.

A Delta Air Lines flight 4819, operated by Endeavor Air, crash landed at Toronto Pearson Airport in February after a flight from Minneapolis. A preliminary report by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) indicated a "high rate of descent" seconds before landing and that the EGPWS alert sounded. The aircraft was tilted to the right upon landing. There were no fatalities, but 21 people were taken to the hospital. The TSB cautioned that it's too early to draw conclusions about the causes of the accident.
