Trump makes stunning promise to NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore

President Donald Trump has made a stunning offer to NASA's formerly stranded astronauts just days after they returned to Earth. The pair logged a total of 286 days in space.

President Trump promised to personally take care of NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore after their extended stay on the International Space Station (ISS) due to technical issues with Boeing's Starliner capsule. They were initially scheduled for an eight-day mission but remained in space for 286 days. Trump stated he was unaware they wouldn't receive overtime pay, while their base salaries range from $125,000 to $163,000 per year, and Wilmore's daughter reported the extra amount of $5 extra per day which resulted in $1,380 extra on top of his yearly salary. He also previously claimed the Biden administration "virtually abandoned" the astronauts and declined SpaceX's offer for earlier retrieval due to political reasons.
