Trump says he would have placed 200% tariffs on US pharmaceutical companies in Ireland

Trump claimed that Ireland’s housing crisis is a result of Ireland ‘doing so well’ and that ‘everyone should have that problem’.

During a meeting in the Oval Office, Donald Trump claimed Ireland has the US pharmaceutical industry "in its grip" and is "taking advantage" of the US due to past administrations allowing US pharmaceutical companies to relocate to Ireland. He suggested he would have imposed 200% tariffs to prevent this. Taoiseach Micheál Martin countered that Irish companies also heavily invest in the US. Trump also commented on the Apple tax case, criticizing the EU's actions.
