Ukraine and the US have reached an agreement for a broad economic deal that would give the US access to Ukraine's rare earth minerals. The deal establishes a jointly-owned fund financed by Ukraine's mineral resource proceeds, which will invest in projects in Ukraine. Ukraine possesses significant reserves of titanium and is a potential source of over 20 critical raw materials, including iron, manganese, uranium, and lithium ore. The Trump administration previously sought a fund where the US maintained 100% financial interest, which Ukraine rejected.
