The country faces a drug shortage and struggles to meet treatment targets. Nigeria ranks high globally in TB burden, with 499,000 cases in 2023, impacting the 25-44 age group. The government has allocated ₦700 billion to combat TB, HIV/AIDS, malaria, and immunization, with oversight promised for transparent disbursement.
