Twitch has announced a new policy limiting streamers to 100 hours of highlights and uploads, effective April 19. The change is due to the low effectiveness of highlights in driving engagement and the high storage costs. Streamers exceeding this limit will have their least viewed highlights deleted, while Twitch encourages downloading content beforehand. The move, affecting less than 0.5% of channels, aims to redirect resources towards more effective features like Clips and the mobile feed.
