Two killed as car is rammed into crowd in German city of Mannheim

Cars have been used as deadly weapons in several acts of violence in recent months in Germany.



In Mannheim, Germany, a driver rammed a car into a crowd, killing two and injuring 11. A 40-year-old German man was detained and is being investigated for murder and attempted murder. Authorities currently have no indication of an extremist or religious motive. This incident follows other recent car-ramming attacks in Germany, including incidents in Munich and Magdeburg.
