Two Lanarkshire landmarks will light up purple on international day for epilepsy awareness

Epilepsy is the second most common neurological disorder in Scotland

The Civic Centre in Motherwell and the Townhouse in Hamilton will light up purple on March 26 for Purple Day, the international day for epilepsy awareness. These Lanarkshire landmarks will join over 40 Scottish sites illuminating purple to raise awareness of epilepsy, which affects over 80,000 Scots. Epilepsy Scotland encourages community involvement in purple-themed fundraising events to support their annual £700,000 goal.
