US remains ‘indispensable partner at time of great peril’, says Taoiseach

Taoiseach Micheál Martin is traveling to the US for St. Patrick's Day celebrations, including a bilateral meeting with President Donald Trump. Martin views the US as an "indispensable partner" and aims to strengthen ties, discussing economic and political links, the war in Ukraine, the Middle East situation, and Northern Ireland. Irish government ministers and Northern Ireland leaders will also visit the US to foster relationships. Martin will present Trump with the traditional shamrock bowl and update him on Northern Ireland.
