Speaker Mojisola Meranda of the Lagos State House of Assembly has condemned ousted Speaker Mudashiru Obasa's actions as a "show of shame" following his disruption at the Assembly complex. Obasa and his security stormed the complex and entered Meranda's office, an act she deemed unacceptable. Meranda emphasized that while Obasa retains his seat, his actions were inappropriate, particularly his meeting with four lawmakers, which she described as insufficient for a quorum. She noted her restored security detail, though reduced, and urged all parties to allow legal teams to handle the matter. Meranda also highlighted the support of 35 lawmakers, including herself, for her leadership. Obasa, however, claims to have resumed as Speaker.
