BERLIN/FRANKFURT AM MAIN. Die deutsche Gewerkschaft Verdi hat ihre Warnstreiks an 13 deutschen Flughäfen begonnen und damit große Teile des Flugverkehrs lahmgelegt.
Warning strikes by the German union Verdi at 13 German airports have caused the cancellation of 45 flights from Austria and affected numerous flights between German airports and other Austrian cities like Graz, Salzburg, Linz, Innsbruck, and Klagenfurt. Over 3,500 flights are estimated to be cancelled across Germany, affecting around 560,000 passengers.
