Rivers State Government is awaiting a detailed briefing on the implications of the Supreme Court judgment delivered on Friday. Commissioner Joe Johnson stated that the government is evaluating the situation and will determine the next steps in the best interest of the state. He advised residents to remain calm and noted that the defection case of 27 lawmakers is pending in the Federal High Court, meaning they are still operating as lawmakers until the matter is resolved.
