‘We have planned everything:’ Inside the new national children’s hospital

The long-delayed and costly National Children's Hospital in Dublin is nearing completion, with substantial completion scheduled for June followed by a nine-month commissioning period. The hospital, featuring Ireland's first rooftop helipad and advanced digital technology, is designed for future growth with 380 inpatient rooms, including ensuite facilities and sofa beds for parents. Patient intake is expected about a year from now, six years later than originally planned.
