West London doctor suspended for a year after failing to disclose criminal convictions

The General Medical Council said Dr Sachin Manoraj had undermined public confidence in the profession

Dr. Manoraj, a West London doctor, was suspended for 12 months after a tribunal found he repeatedly failed to disclose criminal convictions, including driving offenses, to the General Medical Council (GMC) and Imperial College London. He pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention in 2021 and dangerous driving in 2020, the latter involving driving on a pavement to prevent a teenager from leaving an assault. He claimed ignorance and misjudgment but the tribunal gave little weight to his explanations.
